There are some basic rules that you need to obey in the process of material preparation, if you want to produce high quality pellets with your pellet machine. For example, the moisture content of the raw material should be kept between 10-20%, and the ideal value is 15%. Rotary dryer is the most common use drying equipment.

The moisture content of the material is normally high after crushed into small particles by a hammer mill. In the dryer machine, there is a drum which can generate hot air. When humid raw material passing through, the fan will blow the hot air combining with the raw material into the cyclone separator. Then the raw material will become dryer as the drum rotates.

Remember one thing: whatever pellet machine you use, drying is also necessary before pelletizing.
